What an amazing place to get away and relax with family. We'll definitely visit again.
The very long dirt road leads to a lovely little reserve, sufficiently off of the grid to allow you to escape the rat race for a while and recharge in the natural surrounds. The houses are well spaced out to allow for privacy, and the area retains a sense of 'wildness'. Being able to search for interesting creatures on night drives and explore the riverbed by foot is exciting. We only wished for there to be more wildlife ambling along. The cottage oozes rustic charm, and is equipped with everything you'll need. Aircons, the outdoor shower, the fire pit and the most amazing little plunge pool overlooking the Olifants all make this spot feel luxurious, and an absolute steal at the price. I'll come back to sip another gin & tonic in the pool again!
Good value bushveld accommodation
Overall good value accommodation in the middle of the bush. The pool and outside space was lovely and the view fantastic.
We did find the property a little remote, it took 45 minutes on a very rough gravel road to get to the property. I'm sure this is fine for either a short stay or if you intend to stay onsite. Secondly the property was not as private as we were expecting, there are other properties overlooking you on both sides which was disappointing.

Love everything about the bushveld
Loved it. It was the most relaxing and beautiful place I have ever been to with my family. Nothing gets better than a braai and listening to the hippo noises which are just grazing a few meters away from you!! It felt like I was in my own little paradise cut off from all my worries and problems.

We had a wonderful stay here in the gorgeous stone cottage. The setting is lovely with the river just down below. You can hear the hippos at night and enjoy the huge fire pit. The location is in a private reserve where you can spot a wide range of animals. Our kids loved this place. Our only regret is we couldn't stay longer! Fantastic place to relax and get back to nature. Todd and David are amazing hosts who will do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable.

We enjoyed our stay of 3 nights at Bushcamp 70 a lot. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and at home.
The quietness of the bushveld and the bright stars at night added to our relaxation.
The outside shower was a bonus!

Perfect family hideaway
This was the perfect weekend for our family. Plenty of space to hike in the bush or play in the riverbed. Cottage is very comfortable and the loft beds were a highlight for the boys. Plenty of game on the reserve.
It is a long way from the tarred road, but that`s exactly why we love it. A Big thank you to David and Todd.

A BUSHVELD GEM.
The warm welcome on arrival was stunning, made one feel at home right away. The view on the game drive with Amarula Cream as aperitif was very special.
The home-made pitza's are awesome.
The silence of the bush is any city-dwellers dream, creating an ideal place to break away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Our Favourite Holiday Experience ever
We have been pleasantly surprised by the beauty this scenery provided us. The calm waters in the background had just the perfect touch of relaxation.
This is by far our favorite holiday spot in Hoedspruit ever.
The hospitality the owners provided let you feel right at home.
We had huge tears in our eyes when leaving after our long weekend stay.

Little gem in the bush!
Our ten night stay was beyond our expectations! Gorgeous, rustic, colonial style stone cottage right on the banks of the Olifants River. We saw plenty antelope, zebra, giraffe and even a hippo! It’s a bird watching paradise!
Really a place to rest and get away from city life. The owners David and Todd were wonderful! From the second we got there, they were welcoming and made us feel like family without crowding our space.
Will definitely try to go back as many times as possible, specially knowing that the owners have many plans for improving an already awesome holiday experience.

Oh so quiet
Lovely place to stay and very private. We never saw any other people and could relax completely. All rooms have ceiling fans which is great for the heat and keeping the mozzies away.
