Lovely getaway
We stayed at Oakhurst for three nights in December 2014. Clare and Jake were wonderful hosts - we were so impressed that a bowl of freshly laid eggs and a bottle of farm milk was delivered to our door shortly after we arrived.
The cottage is quaint and comfortable. However, for us, the best was having coffee and rusks on the deck, with the early morning sun and the abundance of birds in the forest in front of us - very special.
The setting is lovely; the cottages face the forest and there are walks through the forest to the dam and the waterfall. The farm is an enormous diary farm which one has to drive through to get to the cottages.
I would recommend Oakhurst to others, especially those with young children!

Quaint and unique
What a lovely little cottage. The indoor/outdoor living is great in summer, but I wondered if it might be a little cold in winter. Claire was very welcoming and we would definitely consider returning for a slightly longer stay. There were one or two small details overlooked - for example there was no soap in the bathroom, but nothing that would prevent me recommending this idyllic spot.
