Hazyview Country Cottage

We arrived on a Monday. The place looked totally different than in the pictures on the website. We told them that it's a different place than we booked. The manager Jan sayed: pictures don't lie! Well guess what?! It's terrible! The first night we heard mice running to the whole place. We also asked the first day when we arrived if there is any animals in the house and it came a clearly no from the manager. After that night we talked again to Jan and Tienie which is the owner of the place! Then they said it can be because it is an old barn. The second day when we came back from the trip and wanted to go to sleep there was mouse droppings all over the room. It seemed that there were more than 15 of them. We could here them running everywhere. Then we went to the workers, a very nice guy came and helped us to put the bed downstairs. We were really afraid. The next morning we said that we were going to go and we want our money back. The owner came and blamed it all on the workers. We said once again that was Jan and Tinnies fault! It was really bad. We only got some of our money back!!!! So please people don't book that place! Its the worse thing I ever seen!!!!

It was not so comfortable due to Mosquitoes.

Very rustic but comfortable. Braai area could be maintained better. The road was not great and we were grateful to have a SUV. My only suggestion is to grade the road, upgrade the braai areas and the TV. We only had Channel 2 and that was a bit of a problem. All the channels snowed very badly. Reception was not good at all. M-Net or D-Sat would be a huge improvement and the dogs should be locked up away from the cottages during the day and early evening. For people who are not dog lovers it can be a problem.

I really didn't enjoy my stay,there was dogs roaming everywhere whereas I'm extremely scared of dogs. The wooden floors squeak whenever someone moves which means I hardly slept,couldn't work the shower. The taps fall off,there were no ice trays in that heat. The linen didn't smell clean,couldn't switch off the ceiling fan all night n my husband had a cold.I was just glad it was for one night.

very nice area,but the sign to the cottage is very small,hard to locate,the road leading to the establishment was not smooth driving a small car is a nightmare,we were woken up by children playing and making noise and banging things for both 2days,they were busy with the renovations so there was drilling and cutting of material taking place early in the morning,workers screaming at each other,i really did not have my beauty sleep

Pleasant stay. Just short. Its very sufficient and caters for all your needs.

The idea used here is a very good one and can attract visitors. The decor is something exceptional. I would however like to mention that unless the two most important items i.e. maintenance and cleaning, is not improved upon this will lead to loss of business. The location is ideal for visits to the park.

Thanks a lot to Hazyview Country Cottage owners, very clean.. We are a paraguayan family that visited the Kruger National Park close from there.
