I really enjoyed our one night stay; the complimentary sherry in the room is a nice touch. The garden is really beautiful with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. We also had dinner cooked by Laurette which was scrumptious. We had to leave early to go birding and were provided with a delicious packed breakfast.

High Place of Rest
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ard Lui (which I believe is Gaelic for "High Place of Rest"). Fabulous view, lovely garden, delightful hostess, The beautiful old farmhouse was very tastefully furnished. What more can I say, it was just a pity some gremlin attacked the water supply, but all was well that ended well

Lauretta is a fabulous host, Ard Lui is beautiful, and Bulwer is a stunning locale. Plus, the food is fabulous. I could not think of a better place!

Excellent Breakfast and Hostess
Beautiful garden and old house. Delicious breakfast and absolutely charming hostess. Wonderful and fascinating old church. (Slight work needed to finish the bathroom, but excellent shower.)

As a family of 5, we stayed at Ard Lui B&B and were impressed with the level of care taken to ensure our comfort during our stay.
The rooms were clean, and well kept.
Bathrooms were spotless.
It was as though we were staying with family.
The breakfast was full and hearty, and dinner, spectacular.
This was for us, a very special place to get away and enjoy the KZN countryside.

Great place to stay
I really enjoyed my stay at Ard Lui B&B, mainly due to it being located where I needed a place to stay. This was a visit back in time to the area where I had lived as a small child and the B&B was located next door to the church where my brother, sister and I were baptised. For anyone interested in the Bulwer area, this is the place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much.
The rooms were very comfortable and Lauretta was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and we were sorry we had forgotten to book dinner as it would have been a feast. The gardens are really magnificent. We will book again when we return to the area.
