Luxury however?
All was fine, very neat and luxurious. I only had two issues I couldn't locate the braai area and wasn't able to browse using the WiFi.

Poor service
I was unhappy with the level of service provided. Firstly the accommodation did not adequately cater for the confirmed number of guests despite the establishment confirming the specified number of guests could be accommodated in the unit. I was informed that I would have parking for 2 cars in a locked up garage but one parking was only provided. There insufficient supplies provided despite the unit not being serviced over the weekend. Mariaan was not a good Hostess as she did not answer her cellphone and did not return calls from me the resident. The accommodation was need and tidy but the service provided by the hostess was pathetic. I would never recommend the accommodation to friends and family.

Luxury self catering
We stayed at De Merindol from 22 to 26 February 2013. Everything were perfect! Very luxurious. We even got some fresh flowers on Monday. The people were very friendly. And the location was perfect! What a lovely view. Just across from the beach.
