Amazing Place
The surroundings and location is excellent.  The decor from the Lounge to the bedrooms is stunning.  Richard (a true animal lover) and all his farm animals was a treat and the kids fell in love with the place.  To give you an idea there were 3 different types of tea (even Vanilla flavoured) as well as proper coffee.  Fresh milk (from the cows) were supplied daily.  A nice fire was packed and ready for us every night in the fireplace. The whole cottage was extremely clean and well kept.  Its a great place to stay - highly recommended. Note a few minutes of gravel road travel is required.

Thank you to Richard and his staff for the enriching and restful time we had. I am especially grateful for the invaluable experience of farm life afforded to my son. A lovely place with a homeliness to it.

Good and honest living
This farm experience will be with you and your kids forever and a day. Richard and Dave shared their hidden safe haven with us and opened our eyes to what a balanced life close to nature can offer the 'rat-race generation'.

What a wonderful weekend
We had such a great time at Enaleni Guest Farm. It was such a wonderful and unique experience staying and enjoying the benefits of a working farm. The breakfast was amazing, Richard and Dave were excellent hosts. We will definitely add it to our 'places to visit'list. Our twin boys need to experience this too!!

Enaleni guest farm
A true farm experience and so much more. We were touched by Richard and Daves kindness, the freshly baked Easter treats, the farm milk and the way they treat their animals - and their guests. Our 9 year old son learnt so much and was allowed to participate in all the farm activities like milking the cow, Delilah. He followed the farm worker, Banele around for 2 days and loved every minute of it. Everyone was exceptionally kind and could not do enough for us. There is a big variety of farm animals on the farm, not to mention the lovely orchid collection. The guest house is well stocked and firewood is also supplied. We were a family of 5: our parents, ourselves and our son and all of us enjoyed the visit. We felt at home and free to explore the farm, we will definitely visit again.

Delightful treasure
My daughters and I stopped over on our way back from the coast. It was a delightful find. Apart from the beautiful views, there was so much to learn. The farm is inhabited by indigenous farm animals - and these were beautiful and unusual, from the Inguni to the Zulu sheep and pigs. The orchids were beautiful. David and Richard were very hospitable and the cottage was a delight.

A truly special place
Had the most fantastic couple of days "on the farm". the cottage is beautiful, quirky and very comfortable. I love the fact that the 2nd bedroom is completely separate, accessed from the verandah. my 4.5 year old daughter was in 7th heaven - a real working farm with the most beautiful and loved animals. Richard was kind enough to let my daughter try milking the cow and to sit her on one of the donkeys. The pigs wander around the farm all day and there were loads of piglets too. The boar (Martin) flops over when you touch him, so you can give him a good scratch! The Nguni cattle are beautiful and very special to get up close to them. Even the ducks are gorgeous and I've never seen such a variety of beautiful chickens and roosters. They also have Zulu sheep and all sorts of other interesting things including the most stunning greenhouse filled with orchids of all types. It really was an education and a treat. Accommodation was comfortable and really beautifully done. We found everything we needed and if we did need something, it was provided quickly and effortlessly. the hosts are wonderful - friendly, helpful and passionate about their farm and animals. We were greeted with a home made date cake and brought yoghurt freshly made from the farm. A part of me wants to keep quiet about this place, keep it to ourselves! But these guys are doing an amazing job in so many ways and deserve to receive the kudos. Next time, we'll spend at least 2 weeks there. thanks for a wonderful couple of days far from the madding crowd.
