Affordable Excellence
My stay at Gecko Backpackers was super pleasant. Dennis runs the place extremely well. My room, bedding and towel was all very clean and neat. Hospitality and service was excellent. Received good travel advice from Dennis about my visit to the Kruger National park. Will most definitely recommend.

Always a pleasure
Very friendly and competent staff. Second stay at the backpackers, always clean and well looked after. Can really recommend staying here if you are looking for budget accommodation.

What the hell
This is not what I had in mind of a place to stay. I will not recommend this place to any one to stay. I wont even give them a star at all. The next morning I went out and booked myself in at another place for the other 3 days.

Thank you
We are 4 friends from the Czech Republic aged 44-52 years and Backepackers Gecko Although we spent only one night, but we were very satisfied with the services of the campsite. We felt very well there, employees or owners (do not know) were sympathetic, helpful and friendly. The overall atmosphere was relaxed, suitable places for camping and original decoration. All this at a relatively low price during the Christmas holidays. Backpackers Camping Gecko was the best of our entire trip to South Africa. Thank you. Darina and friends.

Brilliant hospitality
If u need a place to put ur head down that is close to all attractions then that is the place with great hospitality from the management. I would definitely go back again and take some friends along. Awesome place to meet people too!
