Heuwelsig Cottages

We had a lovely stay in the 1 bed self catering cottage. It's only 5kms from Francshoek which is really convenient, but you get the feel of staying on a farm in the country as well. The hostess was very welcoming and helpful. The cottages have recently been refurbished, so everything was nice and new. The decor is lovely and the bedroom has excellent linen, etc. The kitchen is fully eqipped and there are great braai facilities and 2 lovely patios to choose from. We appreciated the attention to detail. The only issue was that the cottage wasn't serviced. We were there over a weekend and a public holiday, but it wasn't mentioned to us that the cottage won't be serviced. It wasn't too much of a problem as we only ate out so we did not use the kitchen. However, it would have been good to have known whether the cottage gets serviced or not, and whether we can order service at an extra cost, etc. But overall. we had a lovely time and I highly recommened it.

Lovely accommodation in perfect part of Franschoek - far from the maddening crowds but close enough for a quick eat or shop.
