Log Cabin Retreat
Amidst a combination of pine trees and fynbos the log cabins provide comfortable and clean accommodation - perfect for those who want to get away from hustle and bustle of urban life .... and TV! The friendly assistance of the staff (Martie and Bart) warrant special mention and appreciation.

Highlands Lodge
Our stay at Highlands Lodge was very peacefull. It was nice and quite, the grounds were neat and the wooden houses were nice too, however maintanance was/is poor.
ceiling fans dont work, bulbs in side table lamps fuzed, carpets very dirty, bedding very poor, pliows full of mildew. we stayed in unit 1 and 5. unit 1 septic tank? was not in a good state and overflowing so the smell of sewage was bad and and in your face all 9 days we were there. We did complain and a repair was attempted but not successful. Even though the camp was not full my family was not moved to another house.

Nico location but cabin's interior needs an overhaul
The set up in general is very good, nicely located between the mountains with views from most of the cabins, some of the mountain, others of the valley. The pool area is also very pretty. Highlight was the walk up the Outeniqua mountains (up behind the property) - its a tough walk but so worth it!
Only negative thing is that the interior of the chalet is outdated and a little tacky and is in desperate need of a re-do. That said, the rate is very low/affordable.
