Manor Guest House

The Manor Guest House has a lovely garden, house and pool setting - particularly the breakfast nook, where we sat for hours every morning, shooting the breeze over an extended (well prepared) breakfast, because it's so peaceful just sitting there. Unfortunately the position on the main road through the town (Viljoen St) makes it quite noisy from a traffic perspective - particularly since all the trucks and motorbikes seem to come past there - but the haven-like quality of the premises does compensate to a degree. Rooms were nice - not spectacular, but more than adequate, beds were comfortable, staff were friendly and service was good. Overall an enjoyable and recommendable stay. Low-light is the traffic noise. Highlight is the garden, pool area and breakfast. I give it an upper 3-star rating. (I usually find 4 stars to be a little better than this: 3 stars can usually go both ways - either a dismal disappointment, or a lovely surprise - this one this one is definitely the latter, but not quite 4-star quality.)
