Our room was very small and every thing is old. No towels or soap. The place was clean. Okay to sleep one night but not longer.

Peaceful and pretty
The place has a lot of character and has beautiful views. It's quiet and the garden is very pretty. It's clean and has everything needed for a quiet weekend. The town can be busy and there's a lot to be done - hiking to the escarpment, waterfall, cemetery and Adams calendar as well as beautiful little restaurants to eat at - The Bohemian being one of them.

Mountain Haven no go.
This place is dirty(Ash trays,micro wave floors etc). The linen needed replacement a year ago. For the 3 nights we stayed, i had to go and beg for water 4 times. My friend stayed there a week ago and he had the same experience.His wife did not even wanted to use the shower. The back yard look like a rubbish dump.

Great budget accommodation
Units were clean and comfortable. We stayed one night on our way to the Kruger. Vince was friendly with great advice on hiking and sightseeing activities.

Great Overnight Stay

Uitstekend
Alles was baie skoon en netjies. Vince, die eienaar het ons hartlik ontvang en mooi verduidelik wat ons alles in die omgewing kan doen en besigtig. Die omgewing is iets heel anders. Daar is die heerlikste eetplekkies met die lekkerste pannekoek. Ons sal sekerlik weer by Mountain Haven Gastehuis wil tuisgaan. Vir ons was 'n naweek veels te kort.

Nice
Vince was friendly and helpful. Arranged permits for us to go hiking and was accommodating in our check out time as we had run for several hours in the morning obviously needed to shower and change before heading home. Lots of hot water in the shower. Location close to Kaapsehoop with great views.

Wonderful
Enjoyed the stay thoroughly. I have returned over again. The village is picturesque and has loads too see and do. An absolute must for the nature lovers who need a place to relax after spending the day exploring the area.

Stay at Mountain Haven
Had a very comfortable and exciting stay at Mountain Haven. The owner was very informative showing us around this beautiful quaint village and taking us on a Ghost Tour (not for the faint hearted!) There is so much to do nearby, including Chimp Eden (Animal Planet fame) which next time I stay I will definitely visit. The views from the Village from the escarpment were to die for - a corner of paradise in this land of South Africa.

Not recommended.
I did not have a good experience at Mountain Haven Guest House. My back still pains from the poor mattress I had to sleep on, two rotten mattresses stacked on top of each other and than covered with linen to give the image of a cosy bed. When we arrived no one helped us it was really unprofessional and, I will not support them again.

Stay was good
Thanks to safari now and mountain haven for a lovely stay this past weekend. Everything was nice and clean. The double bed in the bedroom could use replacement though as the springs on the left hand side are making a loud noise every time you turn around.

Hi, we were a group of 12 people and we had an awesome stay at Mountain Haven Guest house! Our extraordinary host, Vince, was always ready with advice, assistance if needed and knows the area and its history extremely well, good learning's for all of us!
We will definitely re-book at Mountain Haven for our next trip!
