Magnifecent stay
I had an awesome time staying here. The owners were very friendly and I arrived at a warm room with the heaters already on.
The beautiful sounds of the breaking waves can be heard in the bedroom. I slept like a rock.
The advertised Dstv was there with the sport channels included. Some other places advertise Dstv but only provide a very limited viewing packages.

WOW what amazing time we had. On the beach is such a wonderful place. Una has supplied every thing that you need. All you have to do is pack your clothes and food for a wonderful holiday. Una and Hennie are wonderful people and always ask if everything is okay. Thank you for making our time in Melkbosstrand special

CLEANLINESS
My stay there was ok but I feel they could have been cleaning my room and preparing my bed. I got in on Friday and left on Monday but my room was never cleaned.

As stated in the quote, this was a self catering unit which means that you get a clean and neat unit without any room service. You have to make your own bed and wash your own dishes after the preparation of your food. Should you stay longer than 4 nights., the bed will receive clean linen and you'll get new towels. Everything is in the unit that you can be independent. We have received 5 star guest house owners who gave us 5 stars for the quality of our place. I am sorry that you were not satisfied, but please should you require this I suggest you try and find accommodation in a guest house.

Relaxed & Excellant Self Catering
Thank you Una, you have an superb self catering accommodation. Was surprised by the added personal touches from welcome home made biscuits to the chocolate on my pillow. This place had everything & more. Had a relaxing stay and will definitely be back. You are less than 50 meters from the beach, great morning walks and awesome sunsets and glorious view of Table Mountain. This is a little gem in Melkbosstrand.

Really on the beach
Beautiful surroundings and just a few meters from the sand... even if the view is only from the kitchen window, it is worth the detour. Una, the host was very nice. Definitely a place to stay...

Stay at "On The Beach"
Our stay at On the Beach was very pleasant. It is a self catering flatlet consisting of a clean and neat kitchen / lounge area, bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom. The unit has all the essential items needed and is very comfortable. It has a flat screen TV with dstv and the position of the unit is the highlight. It is right on the beach and a quieter section of the beach too (which is ideal during peak season). The owner is also most helpful and friendly.

Lovely, quiet, private, great value for money
I stayed here for one night after I attended a function in Melkbos. The owners phoned me during the evening to inquire whether I was all right, and offered to come and collect me after midnight. The cottage is neat and clean. There's an extra blanket for cold winter evenings, with fresh towels laid out on the bed. I jumped straight into bed and found a little chocolate hidden under my pillow - what a nice touch! Thanks Una and Hennie, you'll see me again.
