Simonstown Family Visit
The property was well located outside Simonstown with lovely views over the bay and the harbour - especially at night. The floors were dusty and resulted in dirty feet while walking around.
The induction was not particularly comprehensive with no warning of the need for top-up payments on the electric meter (or how to do that), no provision for dealing with sudden power black-outs (we were rescued by a neighbour with a couple of candles) and a somewhat unsatisfactory response to comments made to the agent about these matters. The jacuzzi was not working and generally the property was more 'tired' than it appeared in the advertising information.
In terms of overall value for money it rated poorly against our second rental in Pennington on the Natal South Coast.

The Jacuzzi has never been part of the rental deal – thishas been made clear on our advert.
My agent, Jenny, reports that there was sufficientelectricity at all times. She indicated that even after you had departed fromSimonstown Penthouse there was electricity available. The breaks in powersupply were clearly a result of the unfortunate power load shedding that thewhole country is presently experiencing.
Candles and matches were in the cupboard and I am surprisedthat Jenny forgot to tell you about this.
