Thaba thipa
Thank you to Veronica for affording us an opportunity to stay at Thaba Thipa to celebrate my daughter's birthday for the weekend , we had a blast and the Eland house we slept in was also very welcoming , loved the scenery , we also had friends in the two dogs there especially in the heated pool , the small dog was by our side playing along. We will indeed refer friends to Thaba Thipa and we will come again for other memories.

Weekend Stay in Impala
It was a pleasure staying in Impala Chalet as it was clean and well maintained. Due to floodings in the past the number of wild is drastically reduced and very dry for this time of the year.

Relaxing escape from civilization
We really enjoyed our stay at Thaba Thipa. The best thing for us was how relaxed the atmosphere was and that we saw no one else for almost the entire stay. It really felt as if we had escaped from civilization while still enjoying the comforts of it.

Family weekend out
Thaba Thipa is s very quiet and relaxing place. If you want to escape the rush and the noise of the city, it's the go to place. The only noise you will hear is the animals and birds. You'll come home revitalised. The room were clean and well equipped. Friendly and helpful. Had a blast!

Long weekend
It isn't too far from town and activities, and the people were really welcoming. Not too much happening at Thaba Thipa itself, as the hot pool was broken. Still found good value for money. Self-catering and dstv worked well.

The service was not as we expected. The braai area was only cleaned after the second day, so if we had wanted to braai on day 2, we would have had to clean the ash ourselves. Also, cobwebs in the chalet, broken floor tiles outside our front door, and no lights on outside one night when we went out. I guess you get what you pay for.

Ons het deur u bespreek vir Thaba Thipa vir die naweek van 24 - 26 Januarie 2014.
Die foto's, soos dit verskyn op die advertensie van Thaba Thipa, lyk baie goed, maar was ons teleurgesteld!!
Lydia, die dame wat ons ontvang het by Thaba Thipa, was heel vriendelik. Toe ons in die Eland Loghouse ingaan, was dit so warm en bedompig dat ons dadelik weer uit is en op die stoep gaan sit het. Ons het die lugverkoeler aangesit en gewag dat dit die vertrek moes verkoel! Ons het al die vensters toegemaak, soos sy ons gevra het om te doen. Na 2 ure was dit nog steeds so warm en bedompig. Die lugverkoeler het GEEN verskil gemaak nie.
Die plek lyk GEENSINS soos op die foto's van Safarinow se webblad nie. (Ek praat nou net van die Eland Loghouse). Dit kort BAIE aandag. Dit gee die indruk van "VUIL". Die gordyne in die oopplan sitkamer is wit maar het groot geel kolle op. Die een kamer se gordyn is stukkend geskeur en die ringe hang los wat in die gordyn behoort te wees. Die kombuiskraan is stukkend - eintlik los uit die konneksie. Ons moes dit vashou om te kon oopdraai anders het die hele kraan vorentoe 'gebeur'!
Veronica was baie vriendelik toe sy ons kom groet het. Ons het haar meegedeel dat ons regtig teleurgesteld is in die toestand van die Loghouse maar het sy gesê hul sal aandag daaraan gee. Daar was ook so baie mense dat hul nie kans gehad het om die kombuiskraan reg te maak nie! Volgens Lydia was daar die hele week geen mense nie!!
Nadat ons gebraai het (buite op die stoep) het ons gaan sit om TV te kyk. Die 2-sitplek en enkel bank is so deurgesit dat die plank in jou rug steek as jy daarteen sit. Die ander leerbank het gate in.
Ons kon gisteraand nie slaap nie!! Dit het so geraas van die eekhorings/apies wat op die dak rondgehardloop het - die hele nag - kort-kort! Indien ons vriende in die ander kamer op hul beddens omgedraai het, het alles gekraak en dieselfde met ons!! Halfses vanoggend het ons besluit om liewer op te pak en te ry. Ons het regtig nie kans gesien vir NOG 'n nag van min slaap en krake nie!
Die ander huisies op die perseel lyk heel goed so ook die swembaddens.
Ons het vir albei nagte betaal.

A lovely place for an out of the way break away. Everything you need for a home away from home. Loved the Eland and Impala that roam free. Great but unobtrusive hospitality - even Quinn the beautiful Irish terrier made us feel welcome. Will definitely return.

Rustige naweek
Die ondervinding wat ons beleef het was beter as verwag. Die gasheer en gasvrou het ons op die hande gedra en ons goed versorg.
Die plaas het soveel om te sien as mens lief is vir die natuur. Dit moet fantasties wees in die somer.
