Unique experience that could be so much more
While I have to agree with previous comments about the lack of cleanliness and the worn state of bedding (and beds), I do think the coach offers quite an experience and could easily be turned into a first-class establishment.
My kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience and some of the unique old features is absolutely fantastic.

POOR
Not up to standard. Toilet not working, dripping basin tap in 1 room that cant be closed. Light fittings is falling from the ceiling. Smelly place. I cant even say it is overpriced.

Disappointed
The idea of staying in the Royal coach is very nice. However unfortunately it did not live up to this idea and in reality it was not good at all. We were so disappointed with the accommodation that we actually ended up staying elsewhere for the night. From the outside the coach looks run down and in serious need of some maintenance. The roof above the coach is rotting away. Inside there are panels missing on the roof and the edge of the walls where there are electrical wires hanging out. The whole place felt dingy and a bit dirty. The kitchen was terrible and not particularly clean.
On the plus side the guy who checked us in was very friendly. However this was the only positive.

Enjoyed the stay
We really enjoyed the novelty of The Royal Coach and the history behind it. The beds were comfortable and we would definitely stay there again. Sadly, however, it is not being maintained. The front steps are cracking and breaking and, while we were there, the geyser broke. Also, the covering roof is splitting in places. In spite of all this, it still has charm.
