What a lovely relaxing time we had. It really is a beautiful place and the accommodation is good value for money. We will be back, in the new log cabins next time.
Thank you

What a wonderful venue
Apart from the wonderful meals, the warm hearted and friendly hosts, Valley of the Rainbow is the ideal venue to rekindle life. Taking a stroll around the Estate or sitting besides the cosy fire place with your loved one and good bottle of red wine, one tends to look at life from a different perspective. If you looking for tranquillity or rejuvenation then look no further.

Enjoyed Valley of the Rainbow
Everything was first class. Hosts, meals setting all excellent. Just a bit off the beaten track and directions need an update. No Harry's tyres in Middelburg.

What a great place to relax
Beautiful location - so tranquil. The Manor House is a really nice place to stay, the hosts are so hospitable and really nice folks, plus the food is good quality and well presented. Will definitely go back.

Pretty setting/views
Lovely setting over the dam. View in the tents on stilts was lovely. We only stayed one night. Not ideal to take a baby, it was soooo cold! Even with the heater and electric blankets.
Being a lover of the bush, you couldn't hear a car or music etc. although we happened to stay next to 2 tents that were a family so we heard every single word that was said.
Not really much to do either. You have to be one of those people that can sit and do nothing for 2 days as they have a minimum 2 stay policy.
Compared to what I was told, it took us 3 hours and 20 minutes from JHB. Travelling 120/130 at times. So it's not really a quick getaway from JHB.

A wonderful family oriented holiday
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to cater to our needs. Having a 7 week old baby with would have been a challenge, but their thoughtfulness and understanding made it a great place for families to stay. The dinners were really spectacular! One issue we found was the dirt roads there. They were very difficult to drive on. Take care when choosing a route there.

Country house - what a lovely place!
We took our 3 young children and friends for a weekend in the Country House. What a lovely, quite, child friendly place! The children could run around on the farm, they enjoyed fishing in the dam in front of the house, horse riding on the farm and also a walk to the waterfall! The bird life around the house was truly AMAZING!!
The house and bed linen was very clean and it was so quiet and dark in the evenings, a real pleasure being away from the busy city life!
We also had a lovely 6 course dinner at the Manor House (to be arranged in advance)!
We will definitely recommend a stay at the country house, private and ideally for families with children! Thanks Pieter, we will be back soon!

Wonderful resort
Wonderful resort. Great views, friendly and warm service from all the staff, absolute great place. If there is one complaint it is the non-existence of double beds, its all single beds. Would recommend to anybody to try out this gem.
