Thanks, but no thanks
My husband and I stayed at Elephant Lake Hotel for a week during December. We looked at a few places, but decided to stay here even thought it was more expensive than some of the other places because we enjoy a holiday in a hotel. I was very disappointed. The rooms were clean, however the hotel was very noisy (noise started at 6 in the morning already with staff coming past our room and shouting at the top of their voices) and the service was aweful (I'm referring to the room service and the restaurant and bar service). When I am paying nearly R1500.00 per night I expect better service. The hotel will not see me again. Sorry to say.

Great place to stay
Great place to stay and staff are very friendly. Food is also very good and hope that I will be able to spend another few days at the hotel.

Disappointment
St Lucia was absolutely beautiful. However the hotel a disapointment. Most of the staff are excellent but a few let the rest down. The hotel infrastructure needs some investment like painting the pool, repairing the cracked tiles in the bedrooms, putting fridges and baths in family rooms to name just a few. Unfortunately the hotel really needs to review its' pricing policy as it is far too expensive for the product it offers. As I said at the outset, St Lucia is beautiful and we will be back just no to this hotel.
