Breakaway - 24 - 27 Sept 2015
Awesome stay we had. Quiet tranquility, friendly staff, great breakfast, awesome cottage we stayed in, clean and serviced every day.
Had GREAT time at the SPA.
I can recommend this B&B to anyone.
If you need a break to clear your mind, bond with your partner or just a chill out weekend...this is the place to go to!

I do think they could invest in a better DSTV package. Their current package or bouquet is very poor - I think it is the worst one Mnet has on offer and does not do the Guest House any favours.
The breakfast was very good as was the fireplace in the room

Terrible
Television not working, message from dstv to pay invoice before 8 october. I stayed on 1 november. no tea at the coffee and tea tray.no tissues in the tissue box. only soap in bathroom,no shampoo and others. Asked when they were graded for the last time by the grading council, answer we guit the grading program. If graded now it would not get its 4 stars, also bad from safarinow that they don't check the grading on the TGCSA website!

DISSAPOINTING & DIRTY!!
We arrived to the smell of sewage being pumped out, the staff where to busy arguing amongst one another in zulu to actually greet us properly and made us feel very unwelcome. We where then showed to a room that was not the room I booked online, they then informed us that the room we booked was given to other guests!!! Nevermind that... the room that was presented to us was so dirty, stains all over the carpets and bedding that looks so old and worn out. such a dissapointemnt to drive so far for that, in the end we did not stay over. Ive been to plenty guest houses and for that price I expected allot more, it does not cost allot to keep a place clean! This place is clearly only fit for backpackers!!

Poor experience
The Rose Cottage was beautiful BUT lights not working, TV remote not working, no soap in bathroom, when you shower everything is wet in the bathroom. Breakfast - dry toast with no butter or jam. This was not a great experience and I will most certainly never return.

Pleasant accommodation but...
The accommodation is clean and pleasant for a weekend away but the staff are limited in what they can help you with. You never see the owner or get feedback on concerns that the staff cannot help you with.

Enjoyed it
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Highland Rose. The beautiful gardens were lovely for our son to run around in, watch the ducks and tortoise. The accomodation was good and the spa treatments were fantastic. We look forward to returning to the spa soon.
