We enjoyed our stay at Koedoesrus Boskamp. It was a rainy weekend so we were the only people there...which suited us fine since there is only one inside shower. The hosts are friendly and tho we didn't see all that much wildlife (because of the rain) it was a very enjoyable weekend! Charmaine G.

Absolute peace and quiet...
Koedoesrus was recommended to us by a fellow bush lover so we tried at very short notice to get a booking over Easter weekend...it was initially fully booked but we were contacted with a cancellation which we gratefully accepted. We were warmly welcomed by Jenny who showed us around the camp and checked on during our stay by Dirk for any needs...yes it is small camp and close to the main house but that doesn't really detract from the bush feel. The outside/open-air ablutions are a treat which really add to the experience.
During the day we did the self drive game routes but didn't have much luck in finding the elusive Big 5...the fact that they are out there was in itself gratifying...we could hear the lions roar at night amongst the chorus of Jackals which is always my favourite bush night sound.
For rustic camping then Koedoesrus is a great option.

What is expected, a fully "open air" functional bush camping site, with all the sites and sounds....of animals of course. The 4 starts goes for the "bushy" feeling, especially fro the sites close to the fence.
Owners extremely helpful and caring. Bet a permit and do the Dinokeng Game reserve self-drive

We had a peaceful stay in the Boskamp. When we just arrived, we were disappointed to see that the campsites were right next to the farmhouse. But the Boskamp about 200m away was just what we had in mind - though there's only one shaded site. We were surrounded by veld. We saw a good number of game on our game drive and some giraffe came close to the camp fence. We could hear lions roar at night. There was no satellite TV at the main camp as advertised though...(for the odd rugby game).

Friendly Weekend
It was very nice. The owners were very welcoming. I would prefer if there was a indoor shower and toilet by the outside shower and toilet. It was clean and neat.
