Charming Lodge
My wife and I had a very enjoyable time at the Lake St Lucia Lodge. We had originally intended to spend one night but we were able to extend our stay another night. Andre, the owner, was very friendly and informative. We enjoyed observing the two Hornbills that roosted by our rondavel and relaxing in the lush setting. If we ever return to St Lucia we would hope to stay there again.

A pleasant stay
The accommodation was basic, but adequate and we had everything we needed for our one week stay. The cottages are serviced, which was most welcome. We enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden, watching the birds, mongoose, monkeys etc. Enjoyed hearing the bushbabies at night.
Andre and Thea are very friendly hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Andre is passionate about nature and fishing, and we enjoyed chatting to him. Thank you for our pleasant stay.

Great hospitality but only modest housing
The location is central but very quiet, the hosts were very friendly and informative. Some things in the housing could be brighten up a little, but we enjoyed our stay

Beautiful place to stay
We loved staying here! The owner is really welcoming and gave us loads of good advice about things to do in the area. The rondavel we stayed in was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed. And the location is great as it's quiet and tucked a little away from the main high street. Would highly recommend staying here.

St Lucia hidaway
If, like us, you are used to vanning or camping, then the accommodation is very good indeed. Plenty of room, clean and well looked after. The wonderful lady who cleaned and did all the housework was a real treasure. The owners were so friendly and helpful, giving us lots of advice about where to visit as well as help with identifying the local animal and plant life. There can not be too many places where 3 hippos wander past your lodge most evenings!
We had a great time and would recommend Lake St Lucia Lodge to anyone who values a smaller self contained unit.

Perfect
We really enjoyed our stay, which was arranged only 30 minutes before arrival.
Location was great.
Facilities was all that is required.

Very nice spot
Poor equipped hut. Sanitary not cleaned very well, dirty shower. Nice garden with beautiful birds. Location outside the village in a nice and quiet place. Very advisable, and a very kind host. All information on request available.

Felt at home
Stayed 4 days at Lake St Lucia Lodge and felt at home.
Had everything we needed for selfcatering.
Rondawel has good shape for 2 people, but bathroom is very small.
Unfortunately the hippos didn't visit us.
