Thank you somuch for the wonderful time we had at Mzimayi River Lodge, the place is good the staff is so sweet and carrying, but but there is one thing that is not healthy about the place the rooms are very close to the dinning hall and that makes the guests to have no privacy and on Friday we did not sleep at all because of the noise there was a function and people were making noise like nobodies business, if they can sort the thing of the bar and the dinning hall, everything will perfect.

What a great place to stay
We checked in for a quick 3 night getaway and had a really great stay at Mzimayi River Lodge. The lodge is on the river as the name would suggest, but it's right at the river mouth and so you get a really great view of the river and the ocean as well. It was particularly great watching whales breaching from our room.
The food was lovely and the staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. I'd highly recommend this lodge as a really nice tranquil spot to stay at for a nice quiet getaway.

Great experience
We had a lovely experience at the lodge and would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the Hibberdene area.
The food from the on-site restaurant was excellent, the rooms neat and well-equipped, and the staff and owners friendly.
Just be wary of the pothole ridden road leading to the lodge.

Not a good stay
The food and service was very good.
Rooms very nice and clean.
room 2 where we were we could here The man on the toilet next door and his parrot didnt stop screeching.....
Friday night no one told us there would me loud music untill late!
saterday night we had 8 loud and drunk guests out side our door on the vehranda....not good !sunday night the parrot nearly drove us mad with the noose.my wife and i went there to have a rest and didnt expect this behaver.if we had of known we would have gone some where else.
another thing there is no privicey outside the front doors and the toilet and bath room noose, the whole time from the kitchen.........no we didnt enjoy our stay thank you!
