The Amazing Atmosphere
Our stay at Out Of Africa Lodge was very pleasant. The people were welcoming and it was very relaxing and quiet to stay there. The rooms are lovely, we had our own braai area, it was private and peaceful. Thumbs up from me.

They were very unfair not to tell us the time to book out and they charged us money for that they put us on trap so that they can charge me. They said they put it in writing on my confirmation email and i did not have access to internet as i am from Australia. I am not happy because they told us everything on arrival except booking out time. they never came to remind us because they were hungry for my my R150.00. i REALLY don't mind the money i complain about the unfairness treatment. I feel they could have advised me on arrival. Anyway I wont be going there again.

Thoroughly recommended
We booked to stay for New Year's Eve 2016. We stayed in the Treetop room and immediately fell in love with it. The bath/jacuzzi was a delight, the bed extremely cosy and the decor hinted at luxury.
The breakfasts were lovely. The icing on the cake was the close encounter with a pair of giraffes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have booked for our next visit in February.

Not a pretty place to stay needs some finishing..no hot water on our first night, no good dstv signal..couldn't watch a movie at night..not impressed with this place and would say it is very over priced for what you get in comparison to other places.

Beautiful
The place is beautiful and there is peace of mind but the swimming pool was dirty and nobody explained why it was not cleaned so we could not use it.

Disappointed
We arrived around 3pm on the 26th December, after confirming the booking earlier in the morning. The rooms were not ready for us and when we went to view the accommodation, Anton met us at the suite/chalet and said that we could have a look at it. He also said that if we are not happy with the accommodation he would arrange for a refund of the deposit. The accommodation was very poor and nothing like the expectations created on the website. We have to date not heard from Anton and have not received a refund from Out of Africa as promised, as we were not happy with the accommodation offered.

Well spent weekend away
Innitially we had booked the Peglerae suits (suit1&2). These were quite dissapointing as they look nothing like the pictures on the website. Overpriced, in my opinion.
Suit 1 toilet wasn't working, there was one very dim light. Suit 2 had broken taps and the jacuzzi was not working, and it took about an hour to fill up the bath.
After raising our complaints with management we were then moved to the 6 sleeper chalet, and it was neat, clean, everything functional...........and the rest of the weekend was a joy. Thanks for the hospitality.

Wonderful stay at Out of Africa
It's a lovely place to stay and the rooms are lovely with the spa bath in the room and everything in the rooms are lovely. It's a very nice place to go if you and your husband needs time away for a weekend, and to spend quality time together.

We booked via Safarinow.com the Penthouse. Their website clearly indicates self catering, which it was not. There was not even glasses in the room. Safarinow indicates that the room has a bathroom with a Jacuzzi, in fact there was no bathroom, it was a bath with jets within the room. The TV remote had one battery in and the DSTV remote batteries was flat. There was a massive storm on friday night which left us without light and power until very late the next evening. We know this happens, but surely the management could have provided us with gas lamps or something. Sunday night there was no water to the unit. We will never again book at out of africa village, nor reccommend it to any one.
