Lovely weekend break
Be it for an overnight stay or a weekend break Reeds River Lodge is the perfect getaway from the rate race of Jo'burg. The units are comfortable and spacious. Best of all is to light a fire in the oven style braai.
We really enjoyed our time there and will make use of Reeds River Lodge again.

Bad experience
The place was dirty, spiderwebs everywhere, linen not changed, found rat poo on the beds.
I'd advice to bring your own bedding if you want to sleep peacefully there without being bitten by some insects.
There were bats in our room and had to shield ourselves; couldn't have a peaceful night.
Limited to watching only sabc channels on TV.

The only problem reported was the “TV is not working”. This was resolved over the phone . . . it was working, but only limited channels available (M-Net, movies, SABC channels and e-TV, sport channels). Channels of your choice can be activated at less than R 20 per channel.
Linen are not changed on a daily basis. On request we will change it in cases of unforseen mishaps.
We had occurences of bats entering the chalets through the thatch roof. We have regular preventitive action and will act on any similar occurence when guests report it.
We respect the views of our guests (those reported with a positive attitude towards improvement of our service) and we will act on all negative issues that we can control.

March 2015 Weekend stay
The chalet was in order and service from the staff was excellent and non intrusive. Our stay was generally pleasant and the location was peaceful and tranquil. Definitely recommended for a break from the busy city life.

Good stay
We enjoyed the stay and felt very welcome. We did, however feel a little bit let down because the site showed such a beautiful view of a bridge and stuff and when we got there it was gone. Wlthe website should be updated.
It is not as kid friendly as we would have liked but we had a good, comfortable stay non-the-less.

Security
The service and hospitality were excellent A big concern however was the security of this chalets The chalets is quite a distance from the main house and had no security fencing or gate to at least prevent intruders to get to the chalets As I and my wife are senior citizens and as we were the only occupants in the chalets we felt very vulnerable and were so scared that we hardly slept the Saturday night and because of this we wont use this accomodation again

Reeds River Lodge
We really did enjoy our stay at the Reeds. The place is so nice and your staff was so friendly but we really not happy about your TV, there were no signal after ten to fifteen min it went blank and late when we were watching looks like you've set time for tv not to play anymore but overall our stay was nice.

Christmas at Reeds River Lodge
Beautiful tranquil surroundings with a bubbling stream on the doorstep. A few improvements however would make the stay
even more enjoyable. It would be nice to have the pool more central for everyone to enjoy. I suffer from a bad back and there were no chairs at all, just a bench table. A curtain or door in front of the bathroom would go a long way to save embarrassment for the person using the toilet. Ella was friendly and helpful, a real gem.

Holiday well spent!
It was a bit disapointing to find rat poops on our bed but the service was wonderful, the enviroment was to die for as for the entertainment around was awesome. Big up Reets river lodge!
