Next Time..
We absolutely loved our stay in the Karee cottage :)
Only wish we could have stayed an extra day.
Next time I'm bringing bubble bath for that amazing looking corner tub. Also the town and guest house weren't really geared for food ect but the kitchen was perfectly stocked and equipped to cook up your own food so we'll come better prepared next time :)

Great Stay
We had a wonderful (too short) visit to Rooidam. The cottage was clean and had everything you would need. Frans made a GREAT Karoo braai for us, which was superb. We will be visiting again!

Beautiful farm setting
We enjoyed our stay in the comfortable well-equipped apartment on the beautiful Karoo farm. The host, Frans, was friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed exploring the farm and eating oranges straight from the trees.
We would love to return, but will double check that weactually stay in a cottage rather than the apartment. There was only a door and dry walling separating us from the owners house, so we did not have a quiet evening or night as the family were preparing/packing for a trip and there was no sound barrier. (And early evening 2 young guys just walked in through the door! Frans gave us thekey to ensure that we lock it from inside to prevent it from happening again)
That said, the cottages looked absolutely ideal, so next time we will ask to stay in a private setting.

Karoo surprise
If you had a gran on a farm, this one is definitely for you. When you walk into the place you are swept back into the nostalgia of old charm farm. You will stay on a real farm, with the old dam to swim in and the orchards and windmill. Make sure you do not rush through, especially in summer or when you have kids. Oh, and don't forget to taste the rusks. Your gran will approve.

Wonderful and peaceful setting
Wonderful, peaceful setting. Tasteful finishes; gracious host and hostess who went out of their way to make the stay memorable. Best venue for sunset-photoshoots. An oasis in the outstretched Karoo. Can't wait till next year!

Excellent service
I booked this cottage for my family and paid the deposit. At the end they decided to travel a day earlier therefore didn't stay over at the cottage but the owner was very nice and paid back our deposit without any complaints. I will definitely visit them one day. Excellent service.
