Rooibekkie Unit
The Rooibekkie is value for money and equipped to acommodate all your needs. The mattresses are topnotch and comfy.

We made a mistake by booking for two nights because it is definitely only a stop over considering the unit we stayed in. The couches were not comfortable, considering driving for 8 hours and try to relax on these couches is very painful to a persons back. We never got the unit we booked for Rooibekkie, but was given another unit without informing us before time.

Stopover
Check in is very easy, apartment access is open, keys inside: trust to guests is appreciated. All you need for self-catering is available, Checkout: just lose door.

Not great value
We stayed in Hammerkop cottage. It was clean and we slept well - thankful for the electric blankets. Unfortunately there was not enough hot water to shower and the cottage is cold. Better value for money staying somewhere else.

The description of this unit is rather misleading. It is clean and neat but certainly not "luxury" accommodation. These units are situated in a decidedly seedy residential area and not as quaint as photographs lead one to believe. Rooibekkie was very cramped and the shiny tiled floors slippery, potentially dangerous.

We stayed in Flamingo Great place, clean enough, well equipped, DSTV very limited.
Biggest problem was the shower, I understand it is solar but no pressure and impossible to set temperature. Shower really needs attention.

and found rose cottage wanting in respect of décor , location and
furnishing. I would rate it as a low 3 star accommodation.

Perfect for one night
We stayed at Reidier. For an over night stay it is perfect, it has a big fridge where you can store your karoo lamb, a clean bathroom, a nice lounge with a few select channels on the TV, and a bedroom with clean linen. It was incredibly hot though so fans throughout the house would've been nice. Also, the walls are very thin, so you are very close to your neighbours. I know Reider is one of the better rose cottage options. If you visit the De Stjill hotel for dinner its a perfect stop over.
