The Rosenhof hotel
WE loved the hotel. It was comfortable, full of character, and quiet, The staff were friendly and helpful. However when we went to the bar at the entrance to Paul Roux which we understand also belongs to, and is run by, the owner of the hotel we were charged R37.00 for one beer and one city. We found this outrageous and were not tempted to eat there.

Paul Roux - who knew?
A step back in time to old world hospitality in a building that has been lovingly restored and with the most amazing decor. Cedric (the owner) is a collector of note, original art, memorobilia, vintage cars, you name it and this is reflected in the interior design. We relaxed over supper on the cool front stoop and were entertained by his wonderful anecdotes and history of the area. A pity we had only booked in for one night, we will definitely be back!

Relaxed and homely
Relaxed, good personal service and not your run of the mill franchise or chain group. The day I left I even found my car had been washed. Big breakfast. A country feel filled with furniture from yesteryear.
