Shalom Stay
Very old lodge but homely, we enjoyed ourselves. Excellent cleaning staff and care. Would like to see a ramp in the future for disabled people.

The following went wrong with my visit to Shalom Lodge:1) There was no one at reception when we got there. We had to wait for 10 minutes before someone showed up. His communication skills were very limited.2) The photos on the website must have been taken more than a decade ago or was significantly photoshopped. The whole place looks run down and questionable.3) The pool looks like it has not been attended to in months.4) One of the 2 rooms that we booked had not even had the toilet flushed. This place is so dodgy that we did not even ask for our money back. We just left and booked another place.

Stay at Shalom Lodge
It was very nice staying at this place. The two gentlemen we found there were so friendly and everything was explained accordingly and we had quite a nice time. The rooms were up to standard and it is also safe. Thanks again for accommodating us in such a short notice.

The Lodge is NOT a "self catering" facility
I think advertising Shalom Lodge as a "self catering" facility is misleading because the units have no facilities for preparing own meals. Please remove the facility from "self catering" group.
