Needs some TLC
The owners are friendly and the bedding and towels clean, but the rest of the experience was disappointing. The main light in our room didn't work. There's no air conditioner, and the necessary plug wasn't provided to plug in the fan. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable and due for an urgent replacement. The curtains can’t be drawn properly. All the communal areas are smoker-friendly and thus not too friendly for non-smokers. Overall, the guesthouse leaves a run-down impression.

Pleasant stay
Clean, comfortable & with warm welcoming hosts, this was an ideal budget stopover between JHB & CT. Also enjoyed a nice breakfast at the restaurant/ pub attached. A little bit noisy on the noisy side since you are very near the N12 & can hear the trucks going past but this should only be a problem for very light sleepers.
