Nice place, but misleading
On safarinow, groenskloof room 4 is advertised as a family room. I booked it and came with my wife and two young kids but it was not a family room. Groenskloof 5 is. The pictures however of the room is accurate, it's just that the word description of the room is inaccurate. Technically I paid less for my stay but I assure you I'd rather have paid more and slept comfortably. Whether safarinow is responsible for the information displayed or its knoll's to vet the information displayed, I am uncertain but I am keen it's ironed out.
Otherwise beautiful setting, lovely garden and I want to come back again and take that family room.

Beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, noisy Neighbours.
We enjoy the casualness of The Knoll. However we booked the Family Room with a loft, although we were told (after we'd confirmed the booking but before we arrived) that we'd been allocated another room, it was disappointing not to have the family unit requested.
The rooms, whilst adequate and comfortable are not soundproofed. Noisy Neighbours on both sides were a constant disturbance throughout the early hours of the morning.
The property is gorgeous and wonderfully maintained.
Should we return we'd request a stand alone or well sound proofed unit.

We unfortunately had to cut our stay at The Knoll short, but I thoroughly enjoyed the farm. Rudi made us feel welcome right from the start and our son enjoyed playing with the dogs immensely.
The Hilton area is absolutely beautiful and well worth the visit.

Great time
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Although basic, it had all the amenities we were looking for and the photo opportunities were amazing. Just adored the dogs, and will definitely go back again with some more exchange students.

The library
WE stayed overnight in the library at the Knoll Guest House, which was absolutely fantastic!! stunning scenery and beautiful setting, the room was beautifully laid out and fitted!!
I will definitely make sure we stop over there again!!

Midmar accommodation
We were a group of 4 swimming the Midmar Mile this year. We found the facility very friendly, well maintained, and peaceful. We will not hesitate to use this guest house for our future Midmar stays.
