What a charming old house, giving us a real taste of what life must have been like long before we were born. And the friendly and helpful people made us feel so at home. Not to mention the generous catering - we've never seen anything like it. In all, a fabulous stay.

Charming hostess who went to a lot of trouble to accommodate our dietary needs

What a quaint old world but funky place to visit. Wendy was a superb hostess and our breakfast was delicious!

We arrived late evening and booked in. There was no dining facility but were invited to the local bowls club for a braai.
We left early in the morning and did not have breakfast.
The house is in need of some maintenance ( peeling paint on the walls etc)
Otherwise reasonably comfortable.
David Hill, South Africa
Friendly staff, good breakfast and farmhouse feel. Very nice.

After traveling all day we could not wish for anything better. The rooms were clean and fresh, lots of hot water - once the electricity came back on later that evening. Both M and Wendy were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was far better than any top class hotel.

What a great place for a stopover, exactly halfway between pe and Jhb. great room and hospitality. We enjoyed it so much we stayed over on our way back as well.

I arrived late, but Francois and I had made arrangements prior for a key that worked great. The house is beautiful, and the character form 1880 was nicely preserved with the grain wood doors and doorframes and the original wooden floor. Breakfast was served and was more than I could eat, served in great setting. The rustic atmosphere of the town makes the slight detour absolutely worthwhile
