Wonderlijk Kliphuis
Verencia en Pieter, wij hebben enorm genoten van ons tweedaags verblijf in jullie Kliphuis. Bijna een museum om te bezichtigen, een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die naar Namaqualand gaat. Een huisje met een ruimte en vrijheid dat werkelijk uniek is. De aandacht en liefde waarmee het is ingericht straalt ervan af. Ons verblijf bij jullie en de heerlijke gesprekken met jullie nemen wij met veel plezier als herinnering mee terug naar Nederland.

A lovely quaint stone cottage, located in beautiful surroundings. Hoasts were extremely welcoming and took time out to explain cycling and 4x4 routes.
We definitely hope to return in the future.

A relaxing place with nice places to walk and nice views
We stayed 4 nights at the Gertjies cottage. Very private cottage with everything you need to enjoy your stay. I loved the views from the cottage.
Our host Verentia was very helpful providing us with maps and recommendations of drives and places to visit. We also found some nice rocky places in the farm to walk and look for flowers and succulent plants. Verentia was so nice she even shared with us some of her nice lemons from the orchard and some rooibos tea to go with it.
Saw a group of 4 bat-eared foxes just beyond our cottage. Many flowers still visible at the time of our stay.
The cottage does not have electricity to charge electronic devices but we did that at the main house no problem.
Lovely place and very comfortable beds.

Beauriful farm and excellent hosts
We loved this farm as part of our Namaqualand / West Coast road trip. The farm itself is beautiful and the accommodation quaint. The hosts were brilliant and we absolutely loved the jam and rusks the lovely lady of the farm provided. Would definitely visit again and the kids loved it!

The wind was howling and it had just rained so the indoor fireplace was most welcome. We had a quite and peaceful evening to awake to sunshine and an awesome environment. The location is magic and the candles that night added to the feel of being out and beyond.

Verbe- Leitje cottage
A lovely place to stay- even out of flower season. Comfortable, well maintained cottage with everything you need .Pieter and Verencia are great hosts- very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Simply the MOST charming
We had an exceptional experience staying at Verbe Farm during our recent honeymoon in South Africa. The delightful owners, Pieter and Verenica rushed out to meet us on our arrival. Verenica's warmth was so enveloping I felt she may be a long lost relative.
The stone cottage we stayed in had been lovingly appointed with antiques. There is no electricity but that only added to the charm. Candles, oil lamps and an inside fireplace/braai kept plenty of light and warmth through the night.
Since it is also a working farm, we went to sleep to the sounds of the nearby sheep and woke to chickens and birds.
It was wildflower season (August) so the already beautiful surroundings were even more beautiful than normal. Our only regret is that we stayed only one night. We would have gladly stayed another.

Perfect location
We stayed at the little stone house for 2 nights and just loved the peace. The weather in December was great and there was always some wind to stand the heat. We will come back at some stage. The hosts were very kind and helpfully.
