The units have amazing views if you are on the sea side, they are clean and comfortable, but they are small....so if you just looking for a room/bed they are perfect.
The breakfast was very nice, good variety and satisfying. If it's busy it does run out fast, but just ask and they will get you what you need.
all in all the loction is perfect very central with amazing views and close to restuarants along the boardwalk if you don't want to drive......

I booked the standard suite and expected it to be small, but not so small that the bar fridge and kettle is inside the closet leaving no space to hang your clothes. There was no space for our luggage so we constantly tripped over the bed (yes, the room was that small). The sliding bathroom door did not have a handle on the inside and with three rooms per floor, one can hear the next door guests. The only reason this accommodation gets a second star is because the view is amazing. The receptionist was unfriendly and did not even bother to indicate clearly where our room in the next building is. This might be sufficient for one night's stay but I will certainly not go back or recommend it to anyone.

Simpley Stunning Setting
I was treated to an amazing experience! My room overlooked the ocean. Gorgeous view. Nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the waves. The service was exceptional and very hospitable. Super friendly staff. Will definitely make this a annual booking!

Friendly staff and lovely stay
We had a wonderful time at the lodge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. We walked to the restaurants that are on the beach and had a wonderful meal at Boesmanland Plaaskombuis. The view from the roof terrace is amazing!

Lovely see view
Room was adequate with lovely see view. Room booked was not available due to a double booking. Breakfast was disorganised with insufficient food & service appalling. I am still waiting for the food to be replenished as we were told that we were too late (9am on a Sunday morning) and certain of the foods were already finished. Despite this, still had a wonderful stay as views made up for the service.

Place to avoid at all costs
This has to be the most over-rated place I have every had the displeasure of frequenting. No towels, dirty torn curtains, no cutlery, no milk! Not allowed to use communal kitchen, and place was swarming with kids!

Stunning views but mediocre stay
Loved Calypso Villas views of Calypso Beach and Mykonos. Unfortunately, the double bed was smaller than our double bed at home, so we did not sleep well as it was uncomfortable. We were surprised that we had to walk to another villa for breakfast, as our villa had all the facilities for it. Breakfast was basic and a bit of a let-down, although I did enjoy the yoghurt. The stairs could be dangerous for kids or the elderly and walking up 3 flights (especially with heavy luggage) was not ideal.

my niece very chaffed as they has brought in green tea which was not available on the first morning.She is on holiday from Norway and has travelled extensively but she says it was the first time that an effort was made to get green tea usually she has to accept if a B&B does not have it

Great weekend away
The stay was amazing, the sound of the sea and the sea breaze made it extremely difficult to leave.
This was a great weekend away as the calmness of the surroundings made one feel as if you were away for a week. Breakfast is not bad as some reviews suggest, there is a option for the traditional English breakfast or a museli yoghurt option or both if you are a big breakfast eater and ample coffee and juice.
The Villas are central to everything, making it a quick drive to the Casino or to Langebaan and the beach restaurants.
One part of the stay that was by no means a terrible experience, but was maybe a bit uncomfortable was the privacy of the balcony, but the guests seem to respect each others privacy and never seemed to walk across our bedroom, and there are curtains which are also a option for privacy. Was worth every penny spent and for waht you get is by no means expensive. Will definitley recommend the stay to anyone and Calypso will definitely see me and my wife again!

We had a lovely stay here. Only thing is that we would have liked secured parking, but all turned out well in the end - seems to be a safe area. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The sea view is magnificent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The standard room is small but comfortable, neat and clean. Great place to stay if you looking to relax. We'll be back.
