Zonneweelde Guest House

I would like to respond to Mr Green. The barb wire has been on for the last 20 years at the back of the property and we added the electrical fencing 5 years ago to secure the property and guests to the best of our ability. Our security firm and Worcester Police will confirm that we have had no theft for the last 5 years. This came to me as a huge shock . I did ask Mr green s brother to please stop shouting because i had another guest in the house who is terminally ill. I contacted the Police and asked for their assistance with the incident. I left the premises to find assistance to how this unfortunate incident had occurred . I was informed that the front gate was forced open with a crow bar. We apologize for any inconvenience., but as we all know incidences like this is happening more and more in our country

I stayed there for one night.   On arrival we asked about security, a standard question in South Africa.   And were told by Bernice that it is absolutely safe, pointing out the 8 foot fence with electric fencing and barbed wire.

Our car was broken into and I lost all of my documents, my laptop and my fiancé's travel bag.

We discovered this in the morning, and the owner, Dianne was less than helpful, aggressive and unprofessional.   She stated that nobody could have broken in at Zonnewelde, but she cannot account for the guests actions.   She then said that she had to get on with her day, and left the premises.  No apology, no attempt at providing assistance.

I cannot hold her liable for the theft, but her bad attitude reflects in the fact that the only other review of her guest house is from 2012.

My brother also stayed that night and was relieved of two bicycles.
